Since there aren't any songs which use only opens & mutes [save maybe a training type song we can write to help a class or a student], we move our synchronizations into making chord changes. A chord change is a synchronization.

Before we make some simple connections, let's strum [and pick] on a single chord. There are one chord songs, mostly kids songs..."Brother John" and "Row Your Boat". And, there is world and new age music that stays in one key, often with a drone present.

Let's use D Major. D is a triangular shape built on the 3-2-1 strings. Tone names are on the grid.
