Beginnings

After 27 years of guitaring, I still feel like I’m at the beginning. Every moment is another opportunity to expand my musical actions; another space opens up to reveal more territory.
It’s a new year, a new decade. I’m deeply moved by what I see in the world. As my songwriter core gets stronger, I’ll be making stronger statements on a number of topics that are dear to me.
I want to thank everyone who has inspired &/or supported my musical path.

Bob, Thanks for your comment. Really just getting started.
Have you considered 3 hours for 3 days. Then, one hour the next, then an 8 hour day? And, repeat, with or without a day off between.
The site [iluvguitar.com] I’m about to launch has something called the “Deep End”. It is a notation learning system that connects guitar intervals to notation shapes. You might be interested.

Jamey,
Thank you,thank you!
As a newbie learning guitar I was happily surprised to find your site. It is obvious that you care deeply about your craft and your site shows professionalism as well as really great helpful information for all, whatever their current playing level may be. Myself,I’m trying to learn music theory and apply it to playing guitar music by actual notation, in this regard you and your site has given me inspiration and a means to archive my goals although I know it will be a long process. I very much want to learn and practice at least 3 hours every day. (it is hard work but I love it)!
Thanks once again
Your new friend,,
Bob
